GIE Targanine is authorized by the ONSSA “Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Aliments” to carry out its activities on its own premises.
To meet the requirements of the law, the market and its customers, GIE Targanine is certified by accredited bodies: GIE is one of the first producers to be GMP “ISO 22716” certified by “IMANOR”. It is also certified Organic and COSMOS by “Ecocert” and BIO Maroc.
The Targanine Economic Interest Group (GIE Targanine) has been awarded the “MADE IN MOROCCO” label.
This label certifies that the product is of Moroccan origin and complies with quality standards, safety requirements, and the applicable regulatory provisions.
- The labeled product is manufactured under controlled conditions throughout its entire value chain.
- The labeling concept is based on origin, compliance, traceability, and factual evidence.
- Its objective is to contribute to the promotion of local resources and to highlight Moroccan expertise and know-how.
- The label aims to promote the consumption of Moroccan products in both national and international markets, improve Moroccan consumers’ perception of locally manufactured products, and strengthen the sense of national pride and belonging.
The GIE Targanine, together with its member cooperative Tagmate Aziar, has obtained the MSFS certificate under the MOROCCOFOODEX Sustainability Standard.
The MOROCCOFOODEX Sustainability Standard is an innovative framework that provides an integrated assessment of the four pillars of sustainable performance:

All GIE Targanine member cooperatives are “IGP” certified: Protected Geographical Indication and Label de terroir
GIE Targanine is Fair For Life “FFL” certified. This enables it to market its products at a fair price, thus helping to improve the living conditions of women cooperative members, their families and all those involved in the production chain.
